Stony Brook Medicine expands Enterprise Imaging partnership with GE Healthcare Digital

Stony Brook reads over 300,000 imaging studies a year and is nearing completion of a $400+ million expansion consisting of a new Medical and Research Translation building and Hospital Pavilion, including a new Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. With their expansion plans, desired workflow and vision for enterprise Imaging, Stony Brook selected several components of Centricity Solutions for Enterprise Imaging to position themselves for growth including:

  • Centricity Universal Viewer which brings together intelligent tools, enhanced usability and access, advanced visualization and breast imaging on a unified desktop
  • Centricity Clinical Archive, a standards based vendor neutral archive that unifies and intelligently manages patient data, images and enterprise content
  • They’re also expanding Centricity RIS-IC, a web-based radiology information system to manage radiology workflow

Stony Brook Medicine represents Stony Brook University’s entire medical enterprise including Stony Brook University Hospital, the five Health Science schools, Cancer Center, Children’s hospital, other major centers and institutes and more than 50 community-based healthcare settings throughout Suffolk County.
