About William Peterson
William Peterson is the Senior Global Product Marketing Manager for High Acuity based out of Barrington, Illinois.
William is responsible for developing and executing the global product marketing strategy for Centricity High Acuity. In this role, William leads market opportunity assessments, competitive intelligence, segmentation, targeting, pricing, commercial launches, messaging, and marketing campaigns. He also helps identify global priorities, direct regional marketing strategies, and provide critical inputs into our product and business strategy helping to generate growth for Centricity High Acuity digital solutions.
William has been in the healthcare industry for over 25 years with broad expertise including marketing, sales, product development, and finance. He has diverse knowledge working with pharmaceuticals, biotechnologies, medical devices, hospital systems, and consumer goods/services. Before joining GE, William was in product management and marketing leadership positions at CVS Health where he led the development and delivery of new and enhanced product and service offerings within the Specialty Pharmaceuticals business, and Walgreens where he led a team responsible for the marketing of a $10 billion business handled by a direct sales force of over 300 people. Prior to these roles, he held a number of strategic global marketing, sales, and general management positions based in the United States and Europe at leading healthcare companies such as Baxter Healthcare and Abbott Laboratories.
William earned a Bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison with a double major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago with a focus on International Marketing and Financial Accounting.
William and his wife Jill have two young children (a son named Maximus and a daughter named Alexandra).
